Rolling of the Speaker, the fourth day of the hearing in the Supreme Court
news update | No-confidence motion,

The hearing of the Supreme Court's suo motu notice on the rolling of the Deputy Speaker National Assembly will resume today.

PTI lawyer Babar Awan will begin his arguments today. A five-member bench of the apex court on Tuesday adjourned the hearing till 12 noon the next day after hearing arguments from opposition and government lawyers.

During the hearing, Chief Justice Omar Ata Bandial had said that the Supreme Court has to look only at the constitution and law.

The Supreme Court cannot determine foreign policy or state policy. Justice Jamal Mandokhel, who was present in the bench, said that "

the government and the opposition are fighting each other and the matter is being taken up in the court."

Alleged US letter controversy

Opposition lawyers in the Supreme Court have repeatedly referred to the letter, which Prime Minister Imran Khan is referring to as a foreign conspiracy against his government.

PPP lawyer Raza Rabbani demanded the court to seek a "conspiracy letter" and look into the National Security Committee's request.

Later, PML-N vice-president Maryam Nawaz Sharif told a press conference on Tuesday night that Imran Khan was misusing the National Security Committee's statement. "

The National Security Committee is for the integrity of Pakistan, not the Imran Khan Rescue Committee." Maryam Nawaz said that the market for lies has been hot for the last few days and the government has come up with a fake letter which does not exist.

Imran Khan based on the claim of conspiracy letter

On the other hand, Prime Minister Imran Khan insists that the no-confidence motion in the National Assembly was a foreign conspiracy against him. He has asked his party workers to come out every day in different cities to protest against this conspiracy.

On Tuesday, the British news agency Reuters reported that Pakistan's security agencies had found no credible evidence of a foreign conspiracy behind the no-confidence motion filed by the opposition against Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Reuters quoted an "informed official" as saying on condition of anonymity.
