We will go to any lengths to protect the parliamentary system: United Opposition
news update
The United Opposition has termed the rejection of the no-confidence motion by Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri and Imran Khan's government in the National Assembly as unconstitutional and denial of the referendum as the best attack on the Constitution and Parliament.

The United Opposition on Wednesday night discussed the current political situation in Islamabad.

A joint statement issued after the meeting said, "The Constitution of Pakistan is the mouthpiece of the aspirations of 220 million people and the guarantor of the survival of the federation of Pakistan."

The United Opposition parties reiterate their commitment to "go to great lengths to safeguard Pakistan's federal parliamentary system."

The joint statement said that the unconstitutional rolling of the Deputy Speaker was an attack on the democratic system which could not be tolerated under any circumstances.

It is part of a conspiracy to impose a presidential system and impose dictatorship on the country. " The united opposition demanded that the unconstitutional measure be repealed immediately.

The statement also said that those responsible for violating the constitution should be identified and given exemplary punishment so that no one would dare to do so in future.

The United Opposition also condemned the unconstitutional behavior of the Speaker in the Punjab Assembly and said that "the manner in which the democratic mandate is being trampled on in the largest province of Pakistan is a very dangerous move for the federation of Pakistan".

According to the joint statement, "the perception of support for the National Security Council in support of the theory of fake external conspiracy by the Imran government, which declared 197 members traitors" is very worrying. The National Security Council is required to "

inform the nation of the real facts so that the country can be saved from chaos and anarchy." The United Opposition has also decided to observe the Constitution Day of Pakistan on Friday, April 8 across the country. Rallies will be held in the provincial capitals and a convention on the protection of the Constitution of Pakistan will be held.
