Russia's Defense Ministry says the army has been ordered to attack Ukraine from all sides and expand its scope after Ukraine's offer of talks in Belarus was rejected.
According to the French news agency AFP, a Russian military spokesman said in a statement that "following the deviation from the Ukrainian talks, all units have been ordered to move forward on all sides as planned."
The Kremlin said on Friday that Vladimir Putin was ready to send a delegation to Belarus for talks, but that Ukraine wanted to hold talks in the Polish capital, Warsaw.
