In the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, an Indian student who went out of a bunker to a nearby supermarket to buy food on Tuesday morning after the curfew was lifted in the city has been killed by Russian shelling.
Naveen S. Ginagodar was a student at the National Medical University of Kharkiv. Srikanth Chinagoda, a colleague of the slain Naveen Ginagodar, told BBC Hindi from Kharkiv that he had spoken to Naveen shortly before his death.
It should be noted that the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv is currently under Russian attack and thousands of Indian citizens are trapped in Ukraine and they are calling for help to get out of there.
India is trying to evacuate its citizens from Ukraine but is facing difficulties due to movement difficulties due to the Russian invasion.
The Indian Foreign Ministry has confirmed the death of Naveen Ginagodar. The Indian Foreign Office says it is in contact with the victim's family.
